Community College Forms Student Committee
Twenty students who have been accepted at Lord Fairfax Community College will meet on Tuesday night, July 28 at 8:00 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Middletown to form a temporary student government for the new college.
Dr. David Palmer, dean of students, will work closely with the committee and aid them with guidelines. Dr. William H. McCoy, president of Lord Fairfax, will speak to the students at the beginning of the meeting.
Students who have been asked to serve on the committee are: Gail Headley of Berryville; Bruce Bell, Lobs Markee, Linda Jackson and Bruce E. Roemmelt of Front Royal; Coyt B. Cavedo and Verlis Richards of Luray; Johnnie Bryant of Marshall; Tara L. Hayen of Middletown; Judy K. Neff of Strasburg; Richard Tupper of Washington; Carole Jane Braithwaite, Betty DeHaven, Sharon K. Rogers, Peggy A. Swecker, Deborah Tomney and Phillip E. Ward of Winchester; Connie S. Ritenour and John Yonts of Woodstock.
