Boy Scout Troop No. 36 of Flint Mill spent the week of June 28 through July 4 at Camp Rock Enon located at Gore, Va. The Hint Hill troop is sponsored by the fire department there and is included in the Shenandoah Area Council which is composed of Warren, Page, and Shenandoah counties in addition to Rappahannock and others. The group was accompanied by its Scoutmaster Paul Nichols.
Rock Enon is an 850 acre site formerally known as Enon Springs Resort where at one time people vacationed and visited for the healing affects of the mineral spring water baths. The hotel there burned and the property was secured for a scout camp through the efforts of business firms and individuals who were also instrumental financially in the construction of winter lodges,
