Mrs. Nina Nicholson
Funeral services for Mrs. Nina May Nicholson, 51, wife of James Cleveland Nicholson of Sperryville, were held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Geest Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. B. B. Kent of the Etlan United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Nicholson section of the Etlan cemetery. Mrs. Nicholson died August 23, 1970 of injuries resulting from a traffic accident near her home.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Nicholson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Brown of Sperryville and Mrs. Sue Dodson of Fairfax and four sons, James F. and Charles Bailey Nicholson, both of Castleton, and Edward M. and Jimmie Wayne Nicholson of Sperryville.
Mrs. Lois Sevareid
A Memorial Service will be held today (Thursday) at 12 noon in the Flint Hill Methodist Church for Mrs. Lois F. Sevareid, 59, of Flint Hill who died Monday) August 17, 1970 at George Washington University Hospital following a stroke.
The granddaughter of Eben Martin, a former congressman from South Dakota, she was bom in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, the daughter of the late Sherman Finger and Mrs. Lois Finger of Evanston, 111.
She earned a law degree at the University of Minnesota where her father was the track and field coach.
She married Eric Sevareid in 1935. They were divorced in 1962.
