Hobbies such as sewing, where the homemaker wants to leave her things out until a project is finished often causes frustrations when space is limited. An attractive screen might be used to put this out-of-sight, if no other space can be converted. If there is an extra bedroom, a studio room such as described above can be a sewing room when it is not in use and then the sewing machine can quickly fold into a desk or bedside table when guests arrive for overnight.
