Mrs. Smith, the groom’s mother, wore a beige alencon dress accented with pearls with matching accessories and a corsage of roses. The reception was held on the church lawn. When the couple left on their wedding trip, the bride was wearing a Navy blue coatdress with matching accessories and the corsage from her bridal cascade.
The bride and groom will make their home in Amissville. He is employed by the State Highway Department and she by Germanna Community College.

Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer was hostess Friday evening at her home in Sperryville at a Dessert Bridge Bridal Shower in honor of Miss Kaye Johnston of Washington whose marriage to Andrew Reams of Richmond is planned for October.
Others present were Mrs. G. H. Davis, Jr., Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. A. H. Keyser, Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt, Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. H. M. Keyser, Miss Carolyn Johnston and Mrs. T. M. Johnston, all of Washington, Mrs. Carroll Quaintance, Mrs. Mary B. Quaintance, Mrs. W. H. Lyne and Mrs. Roy Reeve of Sperryville.
Score prizes were awarded to Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. A. H. Keyser and Mrs. Lyne.
