The Ladies Auxiliary to the Flint Hill Fire Company met Tuesday, Sept. 1 with 19 members present.
A family picnic was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Welch. Those present included Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Thompson, Delores, Billy and Lynn Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. William Paoni, Michelle and Todd Paoni, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Robinson, Mrs. Viola Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Williams, all of Front Royal and Bobby Welch.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Spence of Harrisonburg and Mr. Spence’s brother, Richard Spence of Simi, Calif, were dinner guests Tuesday night of Mrs. Spence’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William W. Lee. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barber of Orange were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fryik Huff..
A fanifty picnic” was' held Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gavor Foster. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Irving Corbin and four sons of Hartdale, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foster and daughter Sharon, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster.
Guests for the week-end of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Curtis were Mrs. Curtis’ parents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Timmons, their daughter Mrs. Sandra Dowdey and daughter Dawn of Alexandria. William Curtis of Fort Mead, Md. was also a guest of his parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sours and daughter Betty of Leona, N. J. were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Moore at Rock Hill Farm.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Smith and guest Mrs. Mary Hawkins of Washington, D. C. spent the week-end at Dutch Hill.
Mrs. Mary Cleverley attended the monthly luncheon meeting of
SCORE held Tuesday at the Quality Courts Inn in Front Royal. Mrs. Cleverley is Secretary of this branch of the organization.
