After the speech, the students formed into fifteen assigned groups to discuss a specific area Qf pollution - air pollution, chemical poisons, open spaces, water pollution, and population. Each group was to decide what exactly were the major problems of that area of ecology, and what needed to be done, and to find concrete plans for the government, the community, and School to utilize and improve their environment.

Dual Lane By-Pass Opens
The newly constructed by-pass around the Town of Washington, Va. was opened to traffic in both lanes of the dual highway Tuesday. It is paved, but a final asphalt pavement will be applied in the spring. In the meanwhile, guard rails will be completed, top soil applied and banks seeded and other details attended.
Christmas Party For Flint Hill Residents
A Flint Hill pre-Christmas Party is being organized for Friday, December 18 at 7:30 o’clock, to be held in the Fire Hall. Everyone living in the local area is welcome, especially children. There will be entertainment end Christmas carol singing.
East family is asked to bring ahomemade tree ornament. Prizes will be given for most original and most beautiful.
