The Chester Gap Missionary Society gave a Baby Shower for Mrs. Bobby (Alice) Williams on Saturday night at the Chester Gap Baptist Church. Those present were Mrs. Alice Williams and Rodney, Mrs. Marie Williams, Mrs. Doris Williams, Craig and Jeffery, Mrs. Lois Williams and Jim, Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey, Kim and Kelly, Mrs. Estelle Sibert and Parry, Mrs. Lillian Fox, Mrs. Nora Sealock, Mrs. Francis Rudicelle, Mrs. Mary Mathena, Mrs. Joyce Hamm and Mrs. Linda Patrick.
Mr. and Mrs. Bemie Burnette and son David of Falls Church spent Thursday through Sunday with Mrs. Burnette’s father, Stanley WiHiams, and with him were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Gilkey and family Thanksgiving Day.
Mr. and Mrs. Butch Sealock of Blacksburg returned home on Sunday after spending the week with Mr. Sealock’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sealock. They also visited Mrs. Sealock’s mother, Mrs. James Irwin of Front Royal. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Leake and family had Thanksgiving Day dinner with Mr. Leake’s mother, Mrs. Virginia Leake in Sperryville.
