Breath.Test Offered
After January 1st
Beginning January first of next year, motorist suspected of drunk driving will be offered a breath test under a law passed by the last session of the Virginia General Assembly. The Director of the Virginia Highway Safety Division, John Hanna, in a prepared statement, today announced that training sessions will begin on Tuesday for policemen across the state to insure a standardized use and knowledge of the test.
Hanna added the instruction is being conducted under a Federal! National Highway Safety Bureau grant from his office by technicians faun the Police Training Institute of the UahwrsMy of Ittiaow.
