Gore
Funeral services for Edward Willis Gore, 77, of Sperryville were conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. GGordon George and the Rev. William H. Harrison. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel B. Gore of Sperryville; two sons, Henry E. Gore and Donald B. Gore of Sperryville; four brothers, Clarence and Ashby Gore of Reva, Walter Gore of Front Royal and Albert Gore of Leon. He is also survived by three sisters, the Misses Sarah and Nannie Gore and Mrs. Page Carpenter, all of Reva. One granddaughter also survives.
Acting as pallbearers were Francis Bruce, Bruce Brown, Reid Partlow, Donald Osborne, Russell Partlow, William F. Gore, Walter G. Gore and Milton Gore.
Mr. Gore, a farmer, died November 29, 1970 in Warren Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of World War I, the son of the late Abslom Byrd Gore and Nannie Spicer Gore, and native of Rappahannock. Puller A. Hughes, Sr.
Puller Alexander Hughes, Sr. of Amissville, died November 25, 1970 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. He was bom in Amissville December 7, 1887. His wife, Mrs. Virginia Cropp Hughes predeceased him. He was the son of the late John S. and Capitola Luttrell Hughes. Mr. Hughes was a farmer and horseman. He spent his early years in Rappahannock County; later moved to Warrenton, and returned to Rappahannock where he was residing at the time of his death.
He attended Richmond College and was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He was also a member of the Warrenton
