Tax Deadline Is
Saturday, Dec. 5
Rappahannock residents are reminded that Saturday, December 5 is the last day to pay personal property and real estate taxes. After that date, a penalty of 5% will be added. Tax bills were mailed to residents in October. If you have not received yours, contact Robert L. Brown, Treasurer at that office in Washington, Va. That phone number is 675-3334.
Mr. Brown is in his office each day, and on Saturday will be there from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon. Any money for taxes mailed to the Treasurer’s office which is postmarked not later than December 5, will be accepted without penalty.
