Arts-Crafts Group

Meets December 8

The Rappahannock Arts and Crafts group will meet at Cab-Inn on December 8 at 10 a.m. Members and all others who are interested are invited to bring handmade articles for gift suggestions or for winter projects and be prepared to tell briefly how to make them. This will be the last meeting in December.

At the previous meeting on November 24th, work was continued on block printing of Christmas cards. A surprise package of useful household supplies was presented Mrs. R. E. Thompsen, owner of Cab-Inn, in appreciation of her gracious endurance of' the workshop by-products which often included sawdust, scraps and dirt, and for her generous offer to fill in the spur of the moment needs of the group.

On January 12th, the group will meet at the home of Mrs. H. R. Terhune near Amissville. In order to encourage a more widespread interest, the group expects to alternate the meetings between Sperryville and Amissville.
