Livestock meet

A public meeting of farm groups from Rappahannock, Warren, Page, and Shenandoah counties interested in a livestock market is scheduled for Friday, February 18, at the Virginia Gentleman Restaurant, Front Royal, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

A steering committee will report on costs, land acquisition and amount of capital necessary to begin a corporation and a cooperative. .

H.S. Barksdale of Flint Hill is the representative from Rappahannock on the committee. □

Auxiliary meets

Thirteen members of Amissville Ladies Auxiliary met Tuesday night for their February meeting. After usual business, primary discussion was the planning and subsequent preparation for the annual banquet honoring local firemen and guests, which is scheduled for March 17. Debbie Poe was admitted to the group as a new member. □
