A.W. Woodward
A funeral service for Arthur Wayman Woodward of Culpeper was held Wednesday, February 9, at tieest Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Fairview Cemetery. The Rev. Gordon George officiated. ^ Woodward, 76, a retired farmer, died Monday at Culpeper Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was the son of the late John William and Emma Hawkins Woodward of Estes and lived most of his life in Amissville. He was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of the VFW in Culpeper; he attended Gourdvine Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Rose Scott; three sons, Tasker Bowman Woodward of Elkwood, Thomas William Woodward of Viewtown and James E. Woodward of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Mrs. Irving Sisk of Manassas and Mrs. Richard Dennis of Culpeper; and 12 grandchildren.
A brother, Egbert Woodward of Amissville and a sister, Mrs. Dora Mills of Culpeper also survive. □
