last Wednesday, February 2. She entered Fauquier Hospital with shoulder and rib injuries and lacerations of the head.
Mrs. Grigsby was operating a ‘62 Chevrolet three miles west of Amissville when the accident occurred about 8 p.m. According to investigating officer W.A. Buntin, she ran off the right of the highway and went through two fences, tearing down ten sections.
Damage was set at $500 to the car and about $100 to the fence, which belonged to Levi Atkins and Mrs. Annie Coke.
Mrs. Grigsby was charged with reckless driving.
Sunday night on Route 231 nine miles south of Sperryville a car skidded into a bridge. This crash was investigated by Trooper G.F. Gregory.
A Saab driven by John Douglas McLean of Madison struck the cement structure after sliding on the road. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $800.
Injured in the crash were passengers Chris Jenkins of Madison, Debbie Utz of Brightwood and Annie McKee of Woodville. All were taken to University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.
McLean was cited for driving defective equipment. □
