Mrs. Mary L. Payne of Amissville, a long time employe of Rappahannock National Bank, Washington, has been named cashier of the firm, it was announced following Monday’s meeting of the directors. H. Lee Payne, who has served in this position for a year, resigned to return to a former position in Christiansburg. Mrs. Payne joins the ranks with numerous other lady officials in Rappahannock. This bank is one of the few independent banks remaining in the country.
