William Harrison, right, was named the winner of the Region 5 Jaycee “Speak-Up” competition held during the weekend. The Region is composed of eight chapters and the program of speaking was held in connection with the Regional Board Meeting. Mr. Harrison had “What Makes a Hero” as his topic. He was commended highly by the State Jaycee president and received an engraved plaque. He will go on to the state contest. With Mr. Harrison is Dean Hahn, a State Director of the local chapter.
