May is Senior Citizens’ Month. This is the first in a series of articles to emphasize Senior Citizens.

NOW IS THE TIME to recognize ar d involve older people! With the theme “Action Nov/” a movement is starting nationwide to let our senior citizens know that we do appreciate them.

If you are near retirement or already retired, check through this list to see howjou rate in your activities:

1. Take a humorous view of things.

2. Seek happiness which takes work for it doesn’t come automatically.

3. Have one or more objectives in life.

4. Participate in activities with other people.

5. Show interest in younger people and their activities, give praise, encourage them to talk about themselves — everyone then feels important.

6. Develop an inquiring and exploratory attitude about eating. Make meal time interesting rather than a dull routine.
