Superintendent Robert R. Jacobsen has announced that a new Master Plan will soon be in preparation for Shenandoah National Park, and that a public meeting for citizen participation and input is scheduled for 7 p.m., May 9, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Luray.
The new Master Plan will be written by a team of professional planners, which includes a resource manager, a landscape architect, an ecologist, a sociologist, and an interpreter from the National Park Service’s Planning and Service Center in Denver, Col.
