“THE SECRETS of Wood” is the subject of the second in the current series of Saturday Craft Seminars at The Country Store of Washington, Va., > - which will be conducted by Peter Kramer on May 5. Two separate sessions will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. with a $2 registration charge.
Peter Kramer is a prpfessional cabinetmaker and restorer of antique furniture. Recently, he broadened his sphere to include restoring old Rappahannock County houses, and even trying his hand at building some new ones.
What should be of particular interest to Kramer’s seminar audience is the story of his hand crafted furniture which is 18th Century in spirit. His furniture cannot be characterized as “reproduction” because each piece is essentially created by him and is not a line-for-line copy.
