IT IS the hope of the local Soil and Water Conservation District that all of us will view the problems of Rappahannock County as being mutual problems and support the efforts of those working for solutions.
H.S. Barksdale currently serving as Chairman of the Rappahannock Planning Commission has worked on many of the county’s problems. He places a high value on the right of all men to do as they please but he is firmly convinced that., sound planning and zoning are vital to the future of this county.
In conclusion, he points out that progress will never outdate the value of hardwork, a gentle and kind word, an active concerned life, a job well done, and a devotion to do what is right.
