CHARLIE THOMAS literally as well as figuratively, ran away with the honors at the regional track meet held Friday at Bridgewater. Charlie took the mile run in 4:30 minutes and then captured the twomile with a time of 9:42.
Bill Taylor followed in second place in the two mile run with his time clocked at 9:49. This places both of these young men in state competition which is scheduled for Saturday at Lynchburg.
The Rappahannock team placed fifth in the region with 14 schools competing.
