OBITUARIES
Mrs. Wharton
A funeral service for Mrs. Julia Catherine Wharton of Castleton was held Monday in the Geest Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. James Adkins. Burial was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery. Mrs. Wharton, 93, widow of Henry Albert Wharton died May 12, 1973 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Zach and Bettie Dean Hitt Wharton of Rappahannock County.
Survivors include six sons, Earl Wharton of Winchester, Raymond Wharton and Melvin Wharton of Culpeper, Moffett Wharton and Hilton Wharton of Castleton and Browning Wharton of Remington; five daughters, Mrs. Addie Keyser of Washington, Va., Mrs. Mattie Butler and Mrs. Olive Dodson of Culpeper, Mrs. Neva Alther of Castleton and Mrs. Minnie Fincham of Orange; a sister, Mrs. Jogreat-grandchildren.
hn F. Hill of Amissville; 36 grandchildren and 82 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Harold W. Cox, James Jenkins, Moffett Pullen, John W. Atkins, William Wharton, Donald Keyser, Lee Keyser and Larry Jenkins.
