IN THE long jump at Staunton, Katie Pendleton placed second with a 15 foot 5 inch performance. Her best record was 16 foot in the season past. Margaret Jett was a second place winner in the shot put with a 31 foot 1/2 inch throw. Her season record was 34 foot^ 11 inches.
The local girls have performed well for a first season group and have some very strong team members. They are coached by Miss Ann Spieker.
