Mrs. Barbara Wines and children were Monday afternoon guests of her mother, Mrs. Alma Wines.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Brooks of Baltimore spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Longmire and family.

A valentine party sponsored by the ladies of the Baptist Church for the children of the community is planned for February 12 in the church. A valentine exchange is included in the program. All are invited.

William E. Faulconer returned Thursday after a five-weeks visit to Tampa, Fla. Mrs. Faulconer is convalescing at home following her stay in Warren Memorial Hospital because of a broken hip.

The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department hosted the Rappahannock County Firemen’s Association Friday evening. There were 15 present representing Amissville, Castleton, Flint Hill, Sperryville and Washington departments. Supper was served by the Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. S. M. Shelton of Arlington was Sunday supper guest of her mother, Mrs. M. M. Chastain and her sister, Mrs. A. E. Parks.
