RAPPAHANNOCK HUNT HOSTS the second of Virginia’s point-to-point races Saturday, March 2, with post time at 11:30. Held at Thornton Hill Farm in the mountainous area near Sperryville, this meeting, with its unique hound race is probably the most “countryfied” and informal of all in the Virginia circuit.

First on the card of nine races is the pair race, and among the entries are the winners from last week at Casanova, Mr. and Mrs. George Cabeen from Old Dominion Hunt. Rappahannock’s entry from Elzy Brown Farm, in third place last year, should offer good competition.

Among the entries for the Double Gate turf race, are Larmonde Stable’s Irish Model, second last Saturday, with Gray Price riding and Muzzle Puzzle with S. D. Murphy up. Mistletoe Farms has entered Blue Rabbit and Little Evader.
