Lenten program
A LENTEN PROGRAM sponsored by three area churches is scheduled to begin March 5 and will include a Dotluck suDDer and a discussion to follow. Meetings will be held at the Trinity parish hall, Washington beginning promptly at 7 p.m.
Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, Sperryville, Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, and the Methodist Churches of Flint Hill, Washington and Sperryville, will be involved. Ministers of these churches are the Rev. Ronald Wiley, the Rev. Jennings Hobson and the Rev. Malcolm Maples, respectively. Members of these and any other Churches in the area, especially Washington Baptist Qhurch, are invited to join the group.
The theme of the discussion meeting will be “The Life of Christ” and a schedule of meetings follows: March 5—God and the Church-The Trinity. March 12—God and Us-Christian Identity. March 19—The Church and Us-Worshiping Together.
March 26—The Spirit and Us-Inspiration and Life. April 2—The Church and the World-Sharing God.D
