Mrs. Jeffries

Havanna Jeffries, former owner and proprietor for 36 years of Pine Knot Inn, died February 23,1974 in a Staunton hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Lindsey and Lucy Grigsby of Rappahannock County and widow of Hamilton Jeffries.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a volunteer worker in the Sperryville Fire Department and Rescue Squad and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Front Royal.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Sally Walton of Macon, Ga. and Mrs. Lucy Brown of Washington, D.C.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 2 at I p.m. at First Baptist Church, Washington, Va. conducted by the Rev. R,P. Pringle. Burial will be in the Grigsby family cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from II a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday. □
