FREE TAX assistance will again be available at Lord Fairfax Community tCollege through the Internal Revenue Service VITA Program (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance).
The Program has been conducted successfully the past two years at Lord Fairfax Community College and plans are being finalized for filing the 1973 returns. Taxpayers who take advantage of this tax service usually file the short form or have limited itemized deductions.
Participants in the VITA Program are tax accounting students, and interested community residents who have had some experience in tax return preparation. Professor Gary Tusing, coordinator of the Program at Lord Fairfax Community College, said that the program will be conducted from 9 a.m. to
