In representative sales in the Southeast, Choice 200 to 300 pound steer calves sold at $55 to $65; 300 to 400 pounds at $50 to $59; 400 to 500 pounds at $44 to $53 and 500 to 600 pound steers at $42 to $49. Good 200 to300 pound steer calves brought $48 to $58; 300 to 400 pounds $43 to $53; 400 to 500 pounds $40 to $50 and 500 to 600 pound steers $38 to $45.
HOGS—Lower prices also featured trading on live hogs and pork. At packing plants in the Georgia - Florida-Alabama direct area, closing sales on barrows and gilts were $2 lower, while declines at Eastern Cornbelt terminal markets measured $1 to$2.
