“HE WENT ABOUT doing good.” It seemed that He could not restrain Himself, even on the Sabbath. He healed the sick. There were hippocrats at that time; disciples of Hippocrates, that was probably before they earned the appelation HYPROCRITE. Yes, Jesus found time to heal the sick whenever the need was there.
Try to find a hippocrat on weekends. Well, the Book says to do all your work in six days. Couldn’t doctors stagger their time, in order someone could take care of emergencies? It seems paradoxical to me that medical science will try to prolong life in a dying person and neglect the living who actually need % help.
I just realized recently that Jesus discouraged littering, when He fed the four and the five thousand people He told them to gather up the scraps of food. Now the wild life of those Galilean hills would have made short work of the food^ But Jesus said in effect: “Don’t litter.” r There was a so-called religious leader in recent years whose followers littered to the nth degree. It is said that the routes they traveled were strewn with litter of various kind, from all sorts of things, to discarded containers of all manner of alcoholic beverages. Yet, this man was an idol of his people; an idol with feet of clay.
There is an inate desire in our hearts to worship something we consider better than ourselves. Let us worship that ONE that Christ told us to worship, Our Father in heaven. The Bible says that God loves ;? His world. I wonder if He were to give us another commandment it might not be
