CLEARED with school authorities for fall participation will be an essay contest on “The Conspiracy ofSocialism-Communism.” A first prize of $25 will be offered high school students and a $20 first prize for elementary grades.
Future plans call for participation in any all over program celebrating the bicentennial of our country.
At the close of the business meeting, president George Lawrence called upon T. C. Barron to introduce the speaker of the evening, Postmaster Norris of Culpeper, who gave many interesting facts about the new methods of handling and transporting our mail.—H. R. Terhune
