I APPLAUD Jim Gleason, County Executive of Montgomery County, for his valiant efforts to keep Montgomery County from making the same mistake Fairfax County has made. Across the country less than 45 local governments in 11 areas of the country have estab„ lished 208 entities among the conservatively estimated 4,000 communities and 200 areas that are eligible across the nation.
Fairfax County should reconsider its decision to join this super sewer agency. Perhaps it is not too late for Fairfax County to recapture control over its future.
