John Marsh was named “Outstanding Young Man in Virginia” by the Virginia Junior Chamber of Commerce in 1959. He also received the Distinguished Service Medal of the American Legion’s Department of Virginia. A graduate of the Infantry Officer Candidate School, Marsh is presently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Virginia National Guard.
CLASS STARTS
The Beginning and Advanced First Aid Classes started Monday in the Chester Gap fire hall with 20 students enrolled and Richard Farrell of Front Royal as instructor. Others interested in the course may report at the next class Monday, September 23, at 7 p.m.
