Flint Hill Fire Department has purchased a new rescue squad motor unit which was put into operation January 25. The 1974 Dodge van was purchased and equipped in Markleysburg, Pa. Emory Russell, Frankie Huff and Douglas Bywaters brought it “home.” The unit is well equipped, has more room which provides better working conditions for the squadsmen and better service for the patients. Cost of the new unit was in the neighborhood of $18,000 as it stands equipped. Last year the Flint Hill Rescue Squad answered 110 calls and traveled a total of 5,256 miles which consumed 980 manhours. Anyone wishing to make a contribution on the new unit may contact any company member. Donations will be appreciated. If you wish to inspect the new unit, call Frank Huff, Captain, who said, “Do not forget, we are always ready to serve you.” Phone numbers for the squad are 6753389, 675-3252 or call 675-3611.
