THE Commission on Constitutional Revision which was appointed in 1968 and reported to the General Assembly in 1969 recommended a 90-day session every other year and I voted to support this proposal, but the majority of the General Assembly voted to provide for annual sessions in the new Constitution.
A proposed constitutional amendment h^is been introduced in the Senate providing for 90-day sessions every other year and I hope that this proposed amendmend will be passed by the legislature. Constitutional amendments must be passed by two sessions of the legislature and then approved by a vote of the people in a statewide election.
