MISS BLACKWELL added: ‘‘This year the contest will be easier and, we hope, more fun because you may choose any book in the library you wish to review... not just those in certain categories. We’re looking forward with pleasure to seeing even more than the 25% of the country’s eligible students who entered the contests last year, come through our Library doors as contestants this year.”
A panel of impartial literary judges, all residents of the county but not connected with the Elementary school or the Library, will evaluate the reviews and award the prizes.
Cash prizes, prize books and certificates of merit will be awarded at a Library party to which all contestants and their parents and teachers will be invited.□
