Braxton James of Amissville was named outstanding fireman of the year by the Rappahannock County Firemens Association. He is vice president of the Amissville Fire Company and has served this volunteer organization for many years in different capacities. The award is made annually to a candidate selected from those nominated from the various fire and rescue organizations in the county. Presentation of the award was made during a recent dinner-meeting of the county group.
