WARREN AND RAPPAHANNOCK Counties will operate as separate school divisions in ftie employment of personnel after July 1, 1975. The decision was reached by the Warren Board following a joint meeting of the two school boards after 0. A. Norton, present superintendent, informed both boards he will retire at the end of the current school year.
In announcing the decision, Ben Lacy, chairman of the Warren Board, stated that growing enrollments, administrative demands of State and Federal agencies, and the increasing work load in the administration of a present day school system prompted the action by the Warren Board.
Warren and Rappahannock now comprise one of only two remaining county school systems that share the same superintendent.□
