TWO COUNTY positions and one Supervisor’s seat will be contested in the general election on November 4. The deadline for filing petitions to be included on the November ballot was 7 p.m. Tuesday.
In a surprise move Tuesday, Edwin Eastham III of Huntly tossed his hat in the ring for Supervisor of Wakefield District. Hubert Gilkey III of Chester Gap had announced earlier. They will vie for the seat which will be vacated by Herbert Foster of Flint Hill, who no longer seeks the position after holding it for many years.
