DOG WARDEN Jack Bruce told the Supervisors that he had a request for compensation for a dog killing a sheep on Tom Lee’s farm. Bruce said there was no way he could tell whether the dogs had killed the sheep or it had died. On Bruce’s recommendation, the Supervisors decided not to pay the claim.
Ed Harris told the Supervisors that the State Corporation Commission had approved Vepco’s powerline corridor through Rappahannock. ‘‘The appearance of this powerline will be the first step of the deterioration of this county,” Harris said. He noted that Rappahannock Supervisors are already on record in opposition to the powerline. He reminded the Supervisors that House Bill 664,
