Every week after I read my Rappahannock News I say to myself, “I’ve got to write and commend them on that newspaper.” This week I’m finally doing it. Your editorial “Save the Farmland” is one of the most progressive, logical, sane pieces of writing I’ve been able to read lately.
Perhaps you could do more, by publishing a reader’s column of suggestions as to the ways—legal, financial, cultural—that the cause of Rappahannock farmland could be fostered. I’m sure many residents have ideas as to little things that can be done individually as well as bigger things that can be done cooperatively.
