The following practices are approved for cost-sharing assistance in Rappahannock County:
Establishing Permanent Vegetative Cover, Improving Permanent Vegetative Cover, Planting Forestry Trees or Shrubs, Improving a Stand of Forest Trees, Water Impoundment Reservoirs, Diversions, Permanent Wildlife Habitat, Sediment, Chemical or Water Runoff Control Measures, Application of Lime, Controlling Competitive Shrubs, Developing Springs, Seeps, or Pipelines for Livestock Water, Permanent Open Drainage Systems, Underground Drainage Systems, Interim Cover Crop.
A current soil test is required on. any practice requiring lime or fertilizer. A current soil test is defined as one having been taken within the past two years in which no lime has been applied since the soil test was made.
