The Virginia Tech Extension Service and the Rappahannock County Extension Homemakers are sponsoring a craft workshop on Thursday, March 11, at 10 a.m. in the parish hall at Washington. Quilling,a form of paper art which originated in the 15th century, will be offered. Thin strips of colored paper are rolled and shaped to make designs on plaques, jewelery or in frames. The instructions and supplies for Quilling will be $3.50.
Bread Dough is also being offered. In this art, one can make flowers, fruits or figures of a bread dough and glue mixture. Instructions and supplies for this will be $3.50.
