HISTORY GROUP

A meeting of the Historical Society is set for February 15 at 2 o’clock in the parish hall at Washington. This will be held in conjunction with a meeting of the Bicentennial Committee the same afternoon. A report of the program scheduled for the meeting will be published next week.D

Mrs. W.H. Cordle entertained for bridge at her home near Sperryville on Friday evening Mrs. R.E. Thompsen, Mrs. HughChrisman, Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mrs. Frances Tabler, Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. Elmo Flynt, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. T.J. Pillar, Mrs. E.N. Montague and Mrs. H.M. Keyser of Washington.

Prize winners were Mrs. Quaintance, Mrs. Tabler, Mrs. Metzinger and Mrs. Flynt.
