The kindergarten curriculum is planned to provide stimulating challenges which children are able *o accomplish commensurate with iheir ability. Children are given opportunities and encouraged to assume responsibility. Self concepts are built as children successfully complete tasks and as they are listened to by an understanding teacher.
Creative abilities can be encouraged if opportunities for aesthetic expression are provided and the results accepted. There is a positive relationship between creativity and a child’s view of himself, his identification with others, and his openness to new experiences.
