A graveside funeral service for Charles Junior Hitt of Castleton will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Sperryville Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Gordon George.
Mr. Hitt, 45, died of a sudden heart attack Tuesday at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. He was aRappahannock native, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie William Hitt of Castleton, who survive him. He was vice president of Castleton Community Fire Department and was a heavy equipment operator.
Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Shirley Jenkins Hitt; three children, Charles Mitchell, Donna Gail and Randy Lynn Hitt, all at home; four step-children, Carroll Wayne Frye, Charles William Frye, Beverly June Frye, and Bruce Cornelious Frye, all of Castleton; two brothers, Glenn A.
