THE Rappahannock County Public School system has announced a change in its policy for free and reduced price meals for children unable to pay the full price of meals served in schools partici-^ pating in accordance with the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
Local School officials have adopted a family size and income criteria in keeping with the National School Lunch Policy, for determining eligibility for the remainder of this school year.
Application forms may be secured from the principal’s office at each school. The information provided on the application is confidential and will be used only for the purpose of determining eligibility. Applications may be submitted at any time during the year.
BENEFIT PARTY
A benefit party to raise funds for the annual Heart Fund campaign is set for Saturday, February 21 at 8 p.m. in the Flint Hill fire hall. The public is invited to support the campaign and enjoy an evening out with friends. Chairmen of the American Heart Association in Rappahannock are Mrs. Charles Raney and Mrs. Russie Miller, both of Flint Hill.
