Friday night’s final game, two back to back throwing errors in the second inning with two outs allowed the first run to score for Stuarts Draft.
Stuarts Draft loaded the bases on two singles and a walk in the fourth with no outs when starting pitcher Mike Smoot was relieved by Mike Tupper. Tupper struck out the first two batters but Dale Burford hit the game-winning single up the middle—for the Cougars.
IN THE bottom of the fourth, Mike Smoot scored Rappahannock’s only run when he blasted a homer, his seventh of the season, over the left field fence.
