FOLLOWING receipt of a letter from the Greene County Supervisors stating their desire to sell the old University of Virginia Extension building owned jointly by Rappahannock, Madison, Orange, Culpeper and Greene counties, Luke agreed to meet with the other Supervisors involved to work out a sale plan.
The Supervisors also unanimously voted to approve the Planning Commission’s request for information from the Zoning Office each month on building permits issued or denied, and land use and land division requests approved or denied.
Luke maintained that this was not any kind of watchdog function. “We want an update on how things are going—who’s doing what and where is it happening.”
